Oneil Cruz hit a late home run and made a clutch sliding catch late but the Pirates were defeated 5-4 by the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium on Friday night.

Key Moments

The Pirates had the bases loaded with one out in the top of the 10th but Evan Phillips (1-2) got Henry Davis to bounce into an inning-ending double play.

Player of the Game

Tommy Edman had a pair of hits, one of which was the game-winner.

Stat to Know

Bubba Chandler hadn’t allowed a home run in any of his last six starts before Max Muncy took him deep in the first. The last home run he gave up was on July 5 at the Nationals.
