Talk about a two-pronged profile. On one hand, Dallas Goedert is coming off a fantasy football season to remember. It was so far above expectations in the scoring department that the natural train of thought was to ignore it and not upgrade his stock from where it stood 12 months ago. The team then sent AJ Brown packing, leaving us to wonder if Goedert is in a prime spot to repeat his success from a year ago.

This Jalen Hurts-led offense was criticized plenty last season, but their tight end was the exception. He recorded 11 TD receptions, not only a career high, but a spike that came seemingly out of nowhere after he had eight TDs total over the previous three seasons (36 games played).
His previous high water mark was five back in 2019 when Carson Wentz was leading a TE-centric attack with he and Zach Ertz ranking 1-2 in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving TDs on that team.
Last season was certainly unique, and there’s a clear thread to pull if you like him as a low-end TE1 option in redraft formats. He and the departed A.J. Brown combined for 84 targets on the plus side of midfield from Weeks 3-17, a number that was five greater than all other Eagles.
Is that sustainable? Probably not, but the fact that a stat like that was even within the range of outcomes should be encouraging for anyone considering this route.

The Birds drafted Goedert’s predecessor, Eli Stowers, in the second round in April (54th overall), but there are pass-blocking concerns when it comes to him getting on the field in Year 1, and he did manage just 11 TD receptions across 45 collegiate games.
Goedert’s best days are likely behind him, but if you want a known quantity at a tough-to-fill position late in the draft, he’s viable.
He’s just not for me.
Goedert’s Dynasty Fantasy Football ValueWith Brown out of town, there are certainly targets for other parties to pick up. Goedert is very much in line to benefit from that departure, but his current ADP, in my opinion, overshoots just how much volume he has to gain.
That fear is one I have this season, and it only increases with time. Do I fear Makai Lemon, Dontayvion Wicks, or Hollywood Brown taking significant work off his plate?
Individually, no. As a collective, yes.
The Brown move and the 2026 Draft made it clear that this team is prioritizing depth and the future. They are casting a wide net of options, and I think that’s right: the best way to win the lottery is to buy more tickets.

I’m not sure any of their young pieces are foundational players, but they can all take be involved enough to land Goedert closer to TE15 than TE10 in 2026, a ranking that stands to moonwalk with each passing season.
For me, he holds more name value than fantasy value this season and moving forward.
