DC Brian Flores singing the praises of two Vikings rookies

It has seemed over his time in the NFL that it takes a lot for a rookie to catch the eye of defensive coordinator Brian Flores. In his time with the Vikings, he has noticeably taken longer to give players a larger role, such as Dallas Turner, but some rookies from the Minnesota draft class are catching his eye early on.

While speaking to the media this week, Flores shared his praise for two of the Vikings' rookies. Top pick Caleb Banks and fellow rookie Domonique Orange are making a great impression on the veteran defensive coach as they get ready for their first NFL action.

Flores spoke about them, saying, "Those two guys in particular, they're just stringing good days together. It's hard to play D-line in the National Football League."

Both men are likely to play meaningful reps after the team cut ties with veterans Jonathan Allen and Javon Hargrave. Flores needs better run support in 2026 and if they can provide that then fans should expect them to be apart of the solution that he is searching for.
