Barcelona star Héctor Fort has made a call on his desired next landing spot, ahead of an imminent departure from Catalunya’s capital.
Defender Fort, for those not aware, has been deemed surplus to requirements in Catalunya’s capital this summer. After a season out on loan with Elche, the 20-year-old failed to convince Barcelona boss Hansi Flick of his readiness to play a prominent role back at the Camp Nou this coming season.
On the lookout for fresh funds on the market, the Blaugrana brass have therefore made Fort available for transfer ahead of the fast-approaching transfer deadline.
A number of clubs from across Spain and beyond, in turn, are understood to have expressed an interest in the setvices of the versatile full-back.
And Fort, it would appear, has now made his mind up when it comes to his favourite option of the lot. As per a report from Diario Sport, citing German transfer insider Patrick Berger:
‘Hector Fort’s wish, after being forced to leave Barça, is to play for Borussia Dortmund. He has expressed this to his agents and the club.’
Barcelona are hopeful of recouping a sum in the region of €15 million through Fort’s sale.
