In the wake of Yzerman's exit, the Red Wings have indicated they would consider both internal and external candidates for the general manager position. Over the course of the search, the list of potential candidates has begun to take shape. Notable names mentioned include internal candidates Shawn Horcoff and Kris Draper, as well as Detroit Tigers executives Jeff Greenberg and Andrew Thomas, who could provide a fresh perspective on the organization’s direction.
