Did Juventus sign Kerim Alajbegovic to replace Yildiz?

Although Luciano Spalletti says he sees Kerim Alajbegovic as a player who operates behind the number nine, the Bosnian delivered his best performances when he played on the left wing at RB Salzburg and would love to maintain the same role at Juventus.

The attacker is one of the most exciting players in European football at the moment and will be looking to ensure that the team benefits from having him in the squad.

He will need some time to get used to the team and a new role, but questions remain over whether he was also signed with the possibility of Juventus selling Yildiz in this transfer window.

Juventus prepare for Yildiz interest

Sport Mediaset says Juve anticipate that Arsenal will become serious about adding Yildiz to their squad this summer, and that is one of the reasons they have signed Alajbegovic.

Juve do not want to sell Yildiz and have made that clear from the start. However, the attacker has a price, just like every player, and there is an offer that could convince the Bianconeri to sell him.

The arrival of Alajbegovic could therefore give Juventus another option if Yildiz eventually leaves. The Bosnian has already shown that he can be effective from the left wing, meaning he could potentially take on a greater role if the Turkish attacker departs.

Alajbegovic could have a key role

For now, Juventus will hope Yildiz remains at the club, as they want to keep one of their most important young players. If he stays, Spalletti will need to find a way to use both attackers effectively.

Juve have now secured another top player for that role, but they would hope that Alajbegovic adapts to playing through midfield if Yildiz remains. That could allow both players to contribute to the team without competing directly for the same position.

Alajbegovic may therefore have an important role regardless of what happens with Yildiz. If the Turkish attacker stays, the Bosnian can develop in a different position, while his ability to play on the left would give Juventus another option if Yildiz eventually leaves.

For now, the Bianconeri will focus on helping Alajbegovic adapt and ensuring that both players can contribute to Spalletti’s plans.
