Jayden Daniels has caused quite the stir over recent days with his demands made to his former college, LSU.
The Washington Commanders quarterback had his attorney issue a letter to LSU in an attempt to cut ties from them being able to use his image, name or likeness.
This comes after LSU allowed cornerback DJ Pickett to wear Daniels’ former number five jersey just years on from the QB winning the Heisman.
Clearly, it has not gone down well with Daniels and his camp, who have even demanded LSU to return the Heisman trophy currently in their possession.

It is certainly a drastic measure to sour the relationship with his former college after making such good memories at over the years.
In response to the drama, Pickett wished Daniels the best, but admitted he would not be giving up the number five jersey.
“About the number situation, I wore that number my whole life since I was four years old. That’s the number I was promised,” he said.
“I wish Jayden the best. A great player and he did real good here. That’s all.”
The cornerback has stood firm on his stance over the number five jersey, which seemingly is unlikely to change despite the pressure being applied by Daniels and his camp.
Also speaking to the media on Thursday, head coach Lane Kiffin refused to get involved in the drama over the Daniels situation.
LSU get their 2026 season underway in a matter of weeks against Clemson and there will certainly be more eyes on cornerback Pickett following their drama.
