Spurs also inserted a 10% sell-on clause into Spence’s deal, so if Inter end up turning around and selling him, Spurs will get a small cut of those proceeds as well.
It’s sad. I like Djed, and there’s no real reason to adjudicate the transfer and argue about why people are upset. I know why people are upset — they like Djed, think he’d do a job for us, and is going for what feels like a pittance. I’d dispute most of those allegations, but that’s old ground.
So all that’s left is to wait for the formal announcement from Spurs and/or Inter and sink deep into our feels about a player that few people initially liked, then everyone seemed to like, and now is gone.
