Clayton Kershaw suited up for the Los Angeles Dodgers for his entire 18-year career. Kershaw announced his retirement from MLB nearly a year ago in September of 2025, so he is not yet Hall of Fame eligible, but he will undoubtedly make it once he becomes so.
Kershaw is a three-time champion, three-time Cy Young Award winner, former MVP and 11-time All-Star. He was the face of Dodgers baseball for nearly two decades and meant a great deal to fans and teammates alike. Now Kershaw is back in a new role.

“Tune in to SNLA Tuesday night when Joe Davis, Clayton Kershaw and Kirsten Watson call the game as the Dodgers take on the Braves. Coverage begins at 3 p.m. PT and first pitch at 4:15 p.m. PT,” the Dodgers announced on Monday.
Kershaw will serve as the color commentator for the first time on the Dodgers broadcast. Before the 2026 season started, Kershaw inked a deal with NBC Sports to serve as a pregame and studio analyst and made his debut on Opening Day, so the 38-year-old is already familiar with the broadcasting role.
He also has natural chemistry with lead commentator Joe Davis, who has been with the Dodgers for over a decade, which should make for a comfortable and fluid broadcast.
Dodgers fans will certainly want to hear the game from Kershaw’s perspective given how much he meant to the franchise during his playing days. It is also a huge series, as the matchup is against the NL East-leading Atlanta Braves and could serve as a potential postseason preview.
