The Los Angeles Dodgers lost the second game of their three-game series against the Atlanta Braves, 6-5, in walk-off fashion.
Roki Sasaki started the game for the Dodgers, but had to leave early due to a blister on his right middle finger. The right-hander lasted 3.1 innings, allowing six hits, two walks and four earned runs—two of which came across after he exited the game.

The Dodgers didn’t waste any time in getting back to level terms, though, as Hunter Feduccia recorded his second RBI single in as many nights in the top of the second after Tommy Edman led off with a double.

View this post on InstagramThings went downhill for the Dodgers after that, though, as Sasaki began to unravel in the fourth. He walked Ozzie Albies to kick off the inning, and an Austin Riley single moved him over to third base. The Braves’ first run of the innings scored via sacrifice fly, and a double off of Sasaki spelled the end of his evening.
Edgardo Henriquez came in for Sasaki and immediately allowed a two-run double as the Braves took the lead once more.

LA didn’t give up, though, putting together a rally in the top of the seventh inning. Shohei Ohtani doubled to kick off the inning, and Freddie Freeman singled to put runners on first and third. Mookie Betts brought home the first run of the inning with a single, and a Max Muncy walk loaded the bases with no outs.

Atlanta threatened to score with a bases loaded opportunity of their own in the bottom of the eighth inning, but an obscure 6-4-3 double play got the Dodgers out of the jam.
View this post on InstagramAfter recording a scoreless ninth inning, the Braves stepped up to bat against left-hander Tanner Scott and got the break they needed. After getting two outs, Scott allowed a double and intentionally walked the following batter to put runners on first and second.
Ha-Seong Kim, who hadn’t had a hit in three months, stepped up and singled to bring home the winning run.
