New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has many mouths to feed on offense next season.
According to Patriots on CLNS, Maye told media members after training camp practice on Tuesday that he intends to lead the Patriots to wins on offense, which will keep the stars content in the crowded receiver room in 2026.
"I think the best thing for that is winning,” Maye said in regards to keeping his teammates happy. "…My job isn't to try to make everybody happy. My job is to have the offense move up and down the field and score points."
The Patriots added star wide receivers A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs to their receiving corps this offseason. New England also has tight end Hunter Henry, wide receiver Kayshon Boutte and wideout Mack Hollins on their roster, as well as DeMario Douglas and Kyle Williams in line for larger roles in the offense.
Maye is expected to sit for the Patriots’ preseason opener against the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday, but he might play in Week 2 and Week 3 of the preseason, which will allow him to connect with his teammates in a game setting before the start of the season.
