Earlier this summer, senior guard Caleb Foster had the privilege of training with Duke chief basketball officer and Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum. Following the workout, Foster appeared on the Duke basketball mailbag podcast to discuss how it went.
"It was fun, man. Just thankful that I got to be around somebody with his caliber," he said. "Obviously he's one of the best players in the NBA, and just to see his habits and the way he works and how you approach the game. I learned a lot."
Heading into his senior campaign this fall, Foster has spent time with plenty of Duke alumni this summer, also training with Oklahoma City Thunder guard Jared McCain, his former teammate during the 2023-24 season. Last season with the Blue Devils, Foster made 30 starts and averaged 8.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 0.3 steals while shooting an impressive 39.8% from beyond the arc.
