Eintracht Frankfurt and Rennes are in advanced talks for the transfer of Lilian Brassier (26) from Roazhon Park to the Deutsche Bank Park, as reported by L’Equipe. Brassier was deemed surplus to requirements in Franck Haise’s squad with Rennes signing two centre-backs this summer in Charlie Cresswell and Gonçalo Oliveira.
Brassier joined Rennes during the 2025 winter transfer window from Marseille on loan with an obligation to buy. He was contracted with the Bretons until 2029.
L’Equipe understands that Frankfurt, coached by former AS Monaco manager Adi Hütter, and Rennes are close to a €12m agreement. AS Roma previously held an interest in Brassier. The latter trained away from the squad poised to face Ligue 1 champions PSG on Sunday.
