Erling Haaland’s popularity after the World Cup has reached new heights, with his name and image showing up in the most unexpected places.

Haaland was by far the standout player coming out of the FIFA World Cup, as fans gravitated to the Manchester City and Norway star in droves.

Haaland has gone viral on numerous occasions, with his face and name being used in the most random context possible.

According to Al Jazeera, nearly 470 kilograms of cocaine were seized in Ecuador, as a truck driver from Colombia was arrested.

The authorities found that all of the bricks of cocaine had the name and image of Manchester City star Erling Haaland printed on them.

According to local Ecuadorian authorities, they received an anonymous tip about narcotics activity taking place near the shared border between Colombia and Ecuador.

As a result, their designated task force was conducting searches on the Pan-American Highway when they observed a suspicious-looking truck.

As such, they searched the truck and found 370 packages weighing 469 kilograms (1034 pounds) of cocaine bricks, all covered in images of Erling Haaland with his name.

While some might consider this strange, it is actually common practice for drug smugglers and traffickers to attach the images of well-known figures to their packages.

This is done to try and signal which group was behind the production and supply of these drugs, perhaps for the purposes of compensation.

The authorities later released a video of the seizure of these drug packages, where many fans noticed Haaland’s name and likeness being used.

Of course, Haaland has gone viral over the last few months, stemming from his performances at the FIFA World Cup, along with his antics off the field.

As a result, his likeness became widely used among fans all over the world, even if they weren’t fans of football or sports as a whole.

But few fans will be able to argue that this might be the strangest use of Haaland’s name and likeness yet, as it is incredibly random.
