Energy Moment of the Matchday 21: Evander
Evander may be the biggest cheat code in all of MLS.
FC Cincinnati's All-Star midfielder provided his latest stunning display on Wednesday, scoring an incredible 91st-minute goal that gave the Orange & Blue a last-gasp 2-1 win over New York City FC.
Evander's heroics earned the Brazilian maestro Energy Moment of the Matchday presented by Celsius honors for Matchday 21.
"The difference of how you feel is a couple saves on one end and Evander being Evander on the other," head coach Pat Noonan summed up to reporters postmatch.
"So, still pleased with guys finding a way to get three points."
Wednesday's dramatic result pushed Cincy up to fifth place in the Eastern Conference with 30 points.
And with Evander producing an MLS-high 23 goal contributions this year (12g/11a) while scoring in 14 of his past 16 games across all competitions, the Orange & Blue are as dangerous a side as any entering the season stretch run.
Evander and Cincinnati return home on Saturday to host Seattle Sounders FC at TQL Stadium (7:30 pm ET | Apple TV).
