Fantasy Football: Why WR Ja'Kobi Lane is a sleeper to target

Rookie wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane has been making training camp headlines with impressive performances for the Baltimore Ravens, and his fantasy stock is rising as a result.

According to USA TODAY Sports Fantasy projections, Lane currently ranks as WR80 in standard scoring leagues, and WR81 in PPR formats - meaning he should be available in the latter rounds of a draft.

Here's USA TODAY Sports' Everett Cook on why you should keep an eye on Lane in the second half of a draft:

"People are saying some wild things about Ja'Kobi Lane. The third-round pick from USC has drawn comparisons from coaches and teammates to DeAndre Hopkins and Michael Thomas, while longtime Ravens beat reporter Jamison Hensley wrote on X that, "In 27 years of covering the Ravens, I’m not sure I’ve seen a rookie have a training camp quite like wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane."

Baltimore's WR2 has not been productive with Lamar Jackson and even that's assuming Lane can beat out veteran mainstay Rashod Bateman. But this is also the Ravens first season without John Harbaugh at head coach in almost two decades. They have a 30-year-old offensive coordinator in Declan Doyle. Jackson's contract situation could get murky soon. What if they just let it rip?"

USA TODAY Sports Fantasy's latest preseason projections estimate Lane pull in 35 receptions for 3.64 receiving touchdowns - but his stock is trending upward in Baltimore.
