Florida basketball to face Baylor in exhibition matchup

Florida basketball has announced it will face Baylor for an exhibition game this fall.

In an announcement the Gators will face the Bears at Jacksonville's VyStar Veterans Memorial Arenda on Oct. 18.

Tip time and television information will be announced later, while tickets will go on sale on Sept. 16, with a 24-hour presale one day prior.

Baylor and Florida have only met four times with the Bears leading the all-time series 3-1 The last meeting between the last two program was during the 2023-24 season, which ended in a 95-91 Baylor win in Brooklyn, New York.

The matchup will be Florida's first exhibition game since 2021 and the first against a Division I opponent since 2017. Last season UF played Illinois and Florida International in private scrimmages.

The Gators will also play in the Jacksonville Hoops Showdown series during the regular season against Grand Canyon on Dec. 18.
