Florida State's Jack Whaley is victorious in the U.S. Amateur Championship on Sunday, holding off Stanford's Jay Leng in a rain-soaked match at Merion Golf Club, 4 and 3.
Whaley is the first Englishman since Matt Fitzpatrick to win the U.S. Amateur title and the seventh player to come from 2 down at the break (or worse).

Whaley, who carried a 3-up lead and needed one more birdie to secure the victory in wet and challenging conditions, became the first Seminole to take home the Havemeyer Trophy
Whaley's championship run marks the deepest U.S. Amateur run by a Seminole golfer in 18 years.
