LeBron James is now on a new team with the Philadelphia 76ers. It is a massive shift from his previous team, the Los Angeles Lakers, but it seems this was the right basketball fit for him. Even former NBA champion and teammate of LeBron's, Rajon Rondo, is excited about this move.

This 76ers team has one of the most loaded starting lineups in recent history. With James, they have All-Stars in Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey. The youngest player on the team is VJ Edgecombe, who is also quite talented with tons of potential. 

Throughout his career, LeBron has always been the player who has dominated the ball. Even when he was playing with Kyrie Irving, he mostly served as the primary ball-handler, which meant that he was always making the decisions for his team.

Now that he is on the 76ers, he is most likely the best playmaker on the team. However, he will also need to adjust to his teammates, who will need the ball to thrive. With players like Brown, Embiid, and Maxey, James knows that he has teammates who can help the team succeed.

As such a smart basketball mind, Rondo knows that James is one of the best players in league history. At the same time, they both have elite basketball IQ, so this time around, Rondo knows that James is such a beautiful fit alongside the players on the 76ers.

"Bron is, like, you know, the king on the chessboard. You know, he has a lot of all the pieces, all the right pieces to make the right moves... I'm an early bet with them being the favorites to win. You know, and my, and my book, I'm not a bettor, but if I was to bet, I would bet the Sixers early," Rondo said about James and the 76ers.

"If Embiid gets to the playoffs with LeBron, if he listens to LeBron and follows his lead, you know how he's a, he's a pro. And like I said, they get all the juju out of that organization. Everything, you know, good karma happens for those guys."

Now that LeBron has fully embraced his new team, it will be an interesting story to follow. The 2026-27 season will be filled to the brim with top-tier players, but the 76ers have to be up there in terms of interesting stories to follow.
