Former Razorback Isaiah Joe donates $150,000 to Arkansas Children’s Heart Institute

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Former Arkansas Razorback and current Detroit Pistons guard Isaiah Joe donated $150,000 to the Arkansas Children’s Heart Institute on Thursday through the Isaiah Joe Family Foundation.

The donation comes following the foundation’s inaugural Isaiah Joe Family Foundation Children’s Classic golf tournament and honors a cause that holds special meaning for the Fort Smith native and his family.

Joe said his youngest brother underwent life-saving cardiac surgery at Arkansas Children’s after being admitted shortly after birth.

“My youngest brother when he was born, he was put into Children’s from day one,” Joe said. “They saved his life through cardiac surgery and so because of that I mean I can never repay this place enough and the least I can do is do what I can to give back not only to the hospital but anywhere, you know, just to kind of try to touch as many lives as possible.”

Joe added that his family had long planned to support Arkansas Children’s because of the care his brother received.

“We’ve known for quite a while that we wanted to give back to Children’s Hospital morally because they saved my brother’s life and made our family whole,” Joe said.

Joe recently signed with the Detroit Pistons after spending the previous four seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder and was part of Oklahoma City’s 2025 NBA championship team.
