Earlier this week, iconic former Boston Celtics head coach Doc Rivers was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame, introduced to the Hoops Hall by a trio of Celtics Hall of Fame players he helped hang Boston's Banner 17 with, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen.
The Ubuntu-era Celtics were of course one small part of his extraordinary career as a head coach in the Association. The Chicago, Illinois native had a stop with the Orlando Magic before his arrival in Boston, and stints coaching the Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Milwaukee Bucks after his time with the Celtics.
The folks behind the official "NBA" YouTube channel put together a clip highlighting the ceremony of Rivers being inducted into the Hoops Hall as well as his induction speech in whole for us to enjoy on our own time. Check it out below!
