Mauro Furtado was presented this Monday as the new player of Girona FC in an event that included the presence, apart from Mauro Furtado, of the Club's president, Delfí Geli, and the sporting director, Quique Cárcel.
Delfí Geli highlighted the qualities and potential of the new player: “Mauro is a player of great quality, who can grow a lot and who must become an important player.” The president also positively valued the signing: “We are happy with this addition and hope he helps us build a strong team that can compete well.”
For his part, the sporting director, Quique Cárcel, emphasized Furtado's versatility and future: “He has a great future. He can adapt to both center-back and full-back.” Cárcel also remarked that “Mauro can contribute a lot to us in the future.”
Mauro Furtado assured that he is eager to start this new stage: “I am ready to start working.” The player explained that, although he can play in different positions, “I feel much more comfortable as a center-back.” Regarding his arrival at Girona, he stated: “I know that Girona is a great club that invests in young talent.”
