Coco Gauff carried the momentum from a strong start through to the finish line as she defeated Jessica Pegula 6-2, 6-4 to claim her second Cincinnati Open title.

Gauff raced to a 5-0 lead in the first set and also took an early advantage in the second, ultimately closing out the victory in an hour and 14 minutes.

The world number four last won the tournament in 2023, with this year's event featuring the first all-American women's final since 1970.

In the men's final, France's Arthur Fils lifted his first Masters title by beating home hope Frances Tiafoe 6-3, 1-6, 6-0.
