“Get This Woman Out of Basketball”: Jason Whitlock Demands DiJonai Carrington’s Explusion After She Pokes Valkyries Player in the Eye

Jason Whitlock demanded that DiJonai Carrington be thrown out of the WNBA after the Chicago Sky guard committed a questionable foul in the game against the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday. During a defensive possession on the perimeter, Carrington poked the Valkyries’ Cecilia Zandalasini in the eye.

Carrington had both her arms up. While her right hand caught the ball, her left hand swiped at Zandalasini’s face. Whitlock echoed the sentiment of several Indiana Fever fans who were still agitated by Carrington’s Flagrant 2 foul on Saturday that left Sophie Cunningham with a bloody mouth.

“Get this woman out of basketball,” Whitlock wrote.

Whitlock spotted another video in which Carrington swiped at Tiffany Hayes’ face in the same game. In that play, Carrington was at the rim and attempted to block a layup from Hayes, who ducked and went for a circus shot with her left hand.

DiJonai Carrington’s history with fouls has been under scrutiny since the Sophie Cunningham incident. Carrington posted a Thread minutes after her ejection, saying, “White privilege,” while tagging the Indiana Fever.

Before the Indiana Fever took the floor against the New York Liberty on Tuesday, Fever coach Stephanie White sounded off against her critics, who called for her to be fired for defending DiJonai Carrington’s foul against Sophie Cunningham.

White issued a profanity-laced statement before storming off without taking any questions. Reacting to the incident, Jason Whitlock, who had called out White for not condemning Carrington’s actions, slammed the Fever coach for not directing that profanity toward the Sky guard.

“Did y’all notice none of the anger or profanity was directed at DiJonai Carrington? Still can’t denounce DiJonai or express support for Sophie! Not allowed,” he wrote on X.

Whitlock has posted multiple tweets and recorded several segments on his podcast calling out Carrington’s actions and White’s defense of her former player.
