We are now exactly three weeks away from the opening of the 2026 Kentucky football season, and the beginning of coach Will Stein's tenure with the team. As we count down the days until game one, we're getting to know the players on the roster, and today we're taking a look at No. 21, Nasir Addison.
Addison is a 6'0", 204 lb cornerback out of Irvington, New Jersey. As a recruit in the 2023 class, he was rated three stars by 247Sports and ranked as the No. 1,220 overall player in their composite rankings.
A number of major programs offered Addison, including Ole Miss and Florida State. However, it was the Wildcats who ended up getting the commitment.
Playing time came right away for Addison. As a freshman, he played in eight games and even made a few big plays. Then, in 2024, he played in every game before playing in just four games last season.
Addison entered the transfer portal early in 2026, but ultimately withdrew and returned to Lexington, where he could be a key member of the secondary. He'll be in the running for one of the boundary cornerback jobs, and will be in the rotation even if he isn't the starter.
Getting Addison back to Kentucky was an early win for Coach Stein, and he's talented enough to be a starter. If he puts it together, he will be on the field a lot.
