It's time to mark your calendars. With the NBA schedule officially unveiled, Warriors Wire is breaking down the Golden State Warriors' 2026-27 regular-season schedule, highlighting some of the top matchups and interesting games on the calendar for the upcoming campaign.
Much of Golden State's 2026 summer was dominated by the rumors surrounding LeBron James. The moment he became a free agent, the Warriors appeared to be in the mix as a finalist for the future Hall of Famer's next destination. However, in the end, James opted for the Philadelphia 76ers over the Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Warriors will have to wait till March to see James and the new-look Sixers. On March 24, 2027, James and the Sixers will come to Chase Center for their only trip to the Bay Area. Just one week later, the Warriors will head to Philadelphia to meet James at his new home.
While James is the headlining addition of the summer, the Sixers have been busy, acquiring fellow All-Star Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics. James and Brown will join the already dangerous trio of Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and standout sophomore guard VJ Edgecombe.
The Sixers beat the Warriors in both of their contests from last season. In their first meeting in Philadelphia, Tyrese Maxey dropped 35 points to lead the Sixers to a 99-98 win. The Warriors initially fell down by 24 points, but rallied to make the game tight down to the wire. Edgecombe tipped in a game-winning bucket with 0.9 seconds left by Maxey blocked De'Anthony Melton at the rim as the clock hit zero. In their second meeting, Edgecombe scored 25 points to handle the Warriors, 113-94.
