ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — A hard-working, hard-hitting Boylan team gave Guilford all it could handle for a little over a quarter Saturday evening, but then the Vikings started clicking and rolled to a 43-6 win.
Guilford senior Titan end and Ole Miss commit Keysan Taylor made two spectacular touchdown catches in the second quarter to help Guilford grab the lead. Both were thrown by Greyson Weber.
Weber threw two more touchdown passes in the second half to former Boylan Titan Eli Farr. They covered 25 yards and 49 yards. Jaiuntae Jones-Williams also scored a pair of touchdowns for Guilford.
Boylan got its touchdown on a pass from Michael Davenport to Mikele Simms thanks to a great second-effort by Sims after the catch as he dragged three Vikings across the goal line.
