ESPN analyst Devon Travis, a former MLB player and Little League World Series standout, explained after Hamilton West Side's win against Davenport, Iowa, what has impressed him about the Great Lakes team advancing to the U.S. title game against Nevada.
"Boone Treadway is arguably the MVP of this Little League Baseball World Series," Travis said. "He was the star last night on the mound. Today it was the Gold Glove defense. What a player."
"It's a patient offense," Travis added. "You've got to find a way to get a big hit, and when you get later into a playoff-type situation, those pitchers don't walk guys. You have to be able to swing the bats. And what a good thing they have going on. The discipline, now hot bats. This is a dangerous club."
During the broadcast of Hamilton West Side's win against Phenix City, Alabama, Frazier talked about how apparent it was that the team from Ohio looked and played like it "belonged" in Williamsport.
That said, Frazier said he's picking Nevada, which defeated Hamilton earlier in the tournament, to emerge as the U.S. champ.
