Light Heavyweights Reinier de Ridder vs. Roman Dolidze squared off earlier tonight (Sat., Aug. 22, 2026) at UFC Sacramento LIVE on Paramount+ from inside the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. In a one-sided mauling, de Ridder landed about 100 ground strikes en route to a first-round TKO victory.

De Ridder looked large and healthy in his 205-pound return, and he clipped Dolidze with a shifting hook early in the fight. Almost immediately, Dolidze pulled guard and tried to start inverting to attack the legs. “RDR” calmly floated around the attempts, standing over Dolidze and landing shots. After a minute or two, the leg entanglement was no longer particularly dangerous.

Dolidze hung on anyway. De Ridder stayed on top and kept pounding away. Before too long, the shots were adding up, and Dolidze was forced into survival mode. “RDR” nearly finished him from turtle, moved into mount, and then hammered away to force the referee’s hand.

Well … this was an absolutely one-sided domination. Dolidze was way too focused on the leg lock, and when it didn’t happen, he wilted pretty quickly under de Ridder’s ground strikes. “The Caucasian’s” UFC career may be coming to an end sooner rather than later, but it’s a successful Light Heavyweight return for “The Dutch Knight.” Now that he’s back in the win column, de Ridder can focus on climbing the 205-pound latter.
