CRAMERTON — One-year wonder? It may be just one game, but Stuart Cramer football sought to put any idea of such to rest.
After winning nine games last fall, Cramer picked up where it left off in its 2026 opener, earning a dominant 42-6 win over Forestview.
Though played at Stuart Cramer High Stadium, the Storm were designated the road team as work continues at Forestview’s Joe Alala Stadium.
Cramer scored 35 first-half points, reaching the end zone on four of its five possessions in the opening 24 minutes.
The Storm set the tone with a physical 8-play, 69-yard drive capped by a Brayden Fortenberry 2-yard touchdown run. Gifted with great field possession on its next possession, Cramer made it pay off as quarterback Cam Stillwell found wideout Landon Lee for a 25-yard TD.
Standout tight end Qualteau Hawkins then got in on the act, Stillwell hitting him for a 17-yard TD to extend the Cramer lead to 21-0. Camden Lee added a 10-yard TD run, before Tahj Whitley capped the Storm first-half barrage with a 39-yard fumble return for a TD.
Cooper McMillan scored the only Cramer points of the second half on a 1-yard TD plunge.
A Polaris Newsome 47-yard TD run with just under three minutes remaining allowed Forestview to narrowly escape being shut out.
Cramer heads to North Gaston in Week 2, seeking to go 2-0 for a second year in a row. Meanwhile, Forestview travels to East Gaston.
