There are four games on the WNBA schedule for Sunday, August 23. One of those matchups is the Indiana Fever taking on the Chicago Sky at the Wintrust Arena.

It’s the third and final Fever vs. Sky matchup of the season, with Indiana looking to extend their win streak against Chicago. The Fever have not lost to the Sky since June 23, 2024.

The matchup is an interesting one since the Fever have lost two in a row and playing in the second game of a back-to-back, while the Sky are looking to extend their winning streak to four.

How to Watch Fever vs. Sky on August 23?

Sunday’s game between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky will be nationally televised on NBC. It’s going to be held at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EST.

The game can also be streamed live on Peacock, FuboTV and the WNBA League Pass, which are all paid subscription platforms.

Fever vs. Sky Preview

The Indiana Fever are set to complete a grueling five-game road trip. They won the first two against the Atlanta Dream and Toronto Tempo before coming up short against the Dallas Wings and New York Liberty.

The Fever were on a five-game winning streak before their back-to-back losses. And to make matters worse, they are playing a back-to-back and won’t have enough rest between games this weekend.

The loss to the Liberty dropped them back to fifth in the WNBA standings at 24-14. They need a win to prevent the Liberty, Washington Mystics and the Wings from gaining ground in the final stretch of the regular season.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Sky are playing well over the past week. They are on a three-game winning streak and will look to finish the season strong. They aren’t eliminated from playoff contention, but they are unlikely to make the postseason.

One of the ways the Sky can finish strong is by beating the Fever and snapping an eight-game losing streak against them. It has been a struggle for Chicago over the past two seasons, but they have shown signs of improvement this year.

Fever vs. Sky This Season

On June 11, the Indiana Fever welcomed the Chicago Sky to the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Fever were on their way to an easy win, but they blew a double-digit lead and were behind to start the fourth quarter.

However, the Fever were able to force overtime and outlast the Sky to earn a 114-106 win. Aliyah Boston had a game-high 34 points, adding 12 rebounds, three assists and two blocks.

Caitlin Clark finished with 32 points, seven rebounds and 10 assists, while Kelsey Mitchell added 19 points.

Sydney Taylor was huge for the Sky in that game, scoring 30 points off the bench. Skylar Diggins also had a pretty good game with 21 points and three rebounds.

The Sky hosted the Fever at the United Center on August 8. It was nearly the same story, with the Fever having a double-digit lead and the Sky coming back to make the game more interesting.

However, Clark and Mitchell were just too hard to stop, combining for 53 points in the Fever’s 90-86 victory.
