Hull KR's Tevita Pangai Junior has been handed a four-game ban and Mikey Lewis a two-match suspension following Tuesday's clash with Warrington Wolves.
Tonga prop Pangai has been penalised for three late tackles in Rovers' 34-28 home defeat to accrue his suspension.
His ban will not kick in until Round 25, which means he is free to face Toulouse Olympique on Saturday.
But Pangai, 30, will miss Rovers' three remaining regular-season games - against Wigan, Huddersfield and St Helens - as well as potentially their first play-off match.
The former NRL forward had only recently returned from a six-match ban following an incident with Leeds Rhinos' Jake Connor and conceivably may not play again for Rovers with his current deal expiring at the end of the season.
Lewis was sin-binned for catching Warrington's Ewan Irwin on the ankle with his studs and has received a two-match ban, which means he will miss the games against Wigan and Huddersfield.
The 25-year-old half-back was only making his return on Tuesday from a four-game suspension incurred because of two incidents in the reverse fixture in July.
Lewis was previously banned for a late tackle on Irwin and a head-butt on Adam Holroyd, which was missed by match officials, in Rovers' 34-12 loss to Warrington at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Lewis marked his comeback with a try but was then shown a yellow card for dangerous contact with Irwin after leaping to charge down a kick.
The two suspensions are a blow to the Super League champions' hopes of defending their title. They currently sit fifth, six points behind the top two.
One crumb of comfort for Rovers is that Sam Luckley has escaped a ban for his late tackle and his one penalty point keeps him below the threshold for a suspension.
