Angel Reese admitted to suffering greatly after missing the game-winning shot against the Indiana Fever, which ultimately led to a 95-91 defeat to Caitlin Clark’s team. Reese was trolled for missing a layup that may have settled the clash, but was trolled after her miss, which also garnered a reaction from Clark herself.

Clark was seen laughing as Reese missed a clutch moment, leading to online scrutiny, but the Atlanta Dream bounced back by beating the Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday, with Angel Reese doing the damage.

“Last game was very tough for me. I didn’t sleep…I replay that play so many times. And I’m like, why would I let that moment dictate everything else that I have going on that’s positive?” Reese said to the media after Dream’s 97-82 over the Aces.

Among the criticism was a tweet by Newsmaxx’s Rob Schmitt, who outlined Reese’s struggles to consistently score layups.

“If the average athletic person practiced layups for 45 mins in their driveway they’d be as good as Angel Reese,” he wrote on X.

However, bouncing back with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists in a win will go a long way toward rebuilding Angel Reese’s confidence for the rest of the season.
