Many people thought Bradley Beal’s time with the Los Angeles Clippers was over. In a shocking twist, the franchise is bringing him back for two more years.

Bradley Beal’s career has been in decline for the last few seasons. Ever since he left the Washington Wizards, Beal’s injury luck has gotten even worse and things haven’t worked out for him.

In 2025-26, Beal was with the Los Angeles Clippers. However, after undergoing surgery, he was able to feature in just six games during the season.

Most fans and even some analysts thought that this would be the end for Beal in Los Angeles. However, the franchise has decided to give the veteran guard another shot.

Beal’s career has been interesting, to say the least. From 2019 to 2021, he was one of the league’s best scorers. However, he has unfortunately never been able to produce on a truly competitive team.

It seems that the Clippers want the veteran around, however. With Kawhi Leonard also on his way out, the organisation is giving Beal a new $13.2 million contract for the next two years. And fans can’t quite believe it.

“Russ had to retire but Beal’s still making $13 million a year,” one fan pointed out. “What are the Clippers even thinking with this, I don’t get it,” added another.

“How is Bradley Beal getting away with this?” a fan questioned. “They know Kawhi getting suspended. They found a cheap back up,” another comment observed.

A fifth fan said, “The Clippers management just out here throwing random darts.” A different comment read, “I can’t be positive about this even if I try, Beal is washed.”

Beal has a player option for the second season of his contract, too. Fans may not quite understand the move, but at 32 years of age, the former All-Star could still prove all his doubters wrong.
