Ryan Garcia tells Fight Hype that he’s really looking forward to an eventual meeting against Teofimo Lopez, following Lopez’s recent win over Rolly Romero. In fact, Garcia says it’s a fight that he’s been seeking out for quite some time, and he thinks it will be one where he surprises people with how dominant he would be over Lopez.

“They want us to make a unification. Like I said, I will beat the brakes out of Teofimo,” Garcia said. “That’s one of the fights that people think would be tough for me and then I make it look very easy. That one I’ve been wanting way before, long time ago. I really want that. I want to give him his final lesson. He always gets lessons learned, this will be the final lesson learned.”

In the meanwhile Garcia is scheduled to defend his WBC welterweight title against Conor Benn on September 12, but says a unification with Lopez to follow would be sweet.
