Nick Chubb took the NFL world by storm on Friday night, announcing that he is retiring from the NFL after eight seasons in the league.

The running back spent the majority of his career with the Cleveland Browns. During this time, he made four Pro Bowl appearances, and was selected for Second-Team All-Pro in 2022.

Running back careers may not be the longest in the NFL, but they can be some of the most explosive and entertaining ones. In his prime, Chubb was an unstoppable force in Cleveland.

After he announced that he would be walking away from the sport, fans naturally had a lot to say. As the tributes poured in, fans had a lot of praise for the 30-year-old.

“Prime Chubb was appointment viewing, the league genuinely won’t feel the same without him,” one fan wrote. “I’ll never forget what he was like in 2022, he was genuinely unstoppable,” claimed another.

“Not enough for the Hall but one hell of a career as a Brown,” a third comment said. “It was time. That last injury took it all from him. Tragic but respect to him,” read a fourth reply.

“Great player, injuries got him. Good career, hope he has a happy retirement,” a fifth fan said. “Nick Chubb will always be one of the best running backs I’ve ever seen,” added a sixth.

While many feel like Chubb’s career was cut short by injuries, he still achieved a lot during his NFL tenure. Fans will be watching what he decides to do after retirement.
