Florida State has been in the mix for 2028 three-star quarterback Hudson West heavily since extending him an offer in April. They were able to get the 6-foot-4.5, 185-pounder to visit Tallahassee in June for a camp. He'll make his way back on Saturday, according to Zach Blostein of 247Sports, and it will be a very important visit for the Seminoles and their chances of landing him.
FSU is a big fan of West, 6-foot-4 1/2, 185-pound signal caller out of Southwest Florida. Florida is probably in the best spot for West entering the season, especially since he grew up rooting for the Gators. The Seminoles will get the first in-season visit and for a quarterback, who are typically on an accelerated timeline relative to other positions, that could be a big deal.
West is the No. 521 overall prospect and the nation's No. 34 quarterback per 247Sports composite rankings. They have him ranked as the No. 65 player in Florida as well.
He had a productive sophomore campaign at Sarasota High School as he threw for 2,836 yards and 26 touchdowns to just five interceptions, and he also picked up 121 yards on the ground. Hudson kicked off his junior season by completing 18 of 27 passes for 242 yards and three touchdowns as Sarasota beat Bayshore last Friday.
The Florida Gators have a prediction to land West. So, FSU has some work to do in his recruitment.
