It’s getting to feel a lot like football season, but basketball news is still rolling in.
Nasir Anderson, one of the top guard prospects in the class of 2027, recently cut his list to just 10 programs, with Indiana being among them. Anderson will chose from the Hoosiers or a group consisting of Kentucky, North Carolina, UConn, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Providence, Syracuse and Virginia.
That’s still a pretty wide and stacked group of programs, so Indiana still has plenty of work to do in this recruitment, but it’s good to be in the game regardless.
Anderson attends Prolific Prep, based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He’s rated as a 5-star prospect, per 247Sports, ranking in as the 7th highest-rated prospect overall and 2nd highest-rated point guard in the class. He’s also rated as a 5-star prospect by Rivals, ranking in as the 7th highest-rated prospect overall and the 3rd highest-rated point guard in the class.
Indiana already has one commitment in 2027, La Lumiere guard Chase Branham, who’s seen his stock rise as time as gone on.
