It's been an exciting offseason for Iowa fourth-year offensive lineman Kade Pieper.
He's seen his name pop up on all of the preseason All-America lists as the country takes note of how skilled he is. Pieper has been named a preseason All-American by Walter Camp, On3, and Athlon Sports. Earlier this week, the Hawkeye lineman added another preseason All-America nod to his impressive resume.
Pieper was named a preseason All-American by the Associated Press. He was the only Hawkeye to be named one this season, as Trevor Lauck and Zach Lutmer missed the cut. It's another indication of how well-regarded Pieper is entering the 2026 season.

— Big Ten Football (@B1Gfootball) August 19, 2026He started all 13 games for Iowa last season at right guard. The 6-foot-3, 298-pound lineman was named a first-team All-American by Pro Football Focus (PFF) and a third-team All-Big Ten player by the conference media for his efforts. With Rimington Award-winning center Logan Jones off to the NFL, Pieper is making the move to that position this season.
Alongside Lauck, he'll anchor an Iowa offensive line looking to repeat as Joe Moore Award winners. And he'll look to elevate his NFL draft stock to hear his name called next April. There's a good chance Pieper will join a prestigious lineage of Iowa first-round picks if he backs up his 2025 campaign with a strong 2026 one.
The Hawkeyes always seem to have great offensive linemen on the roster under Kirk Ferentz. With Pieper in the fold once again, that trend will continue this season.
