Ipswich Town and Hull City enquire about PSG midfielder Renato Sanches

PSG would be ready to terminate Renato Sanches’ (29) contract, which has put several club in Europe, like Ipswich Town and Hull City, on alert, according to a report on Monday from Foot Mercato. The Portuguese midfielder has entered the final months of the five-year PSG contract he signed back in 2022, when he joined Les Parisiens from Ligue 1 rivals Lille OSC.

Sanches’ spell in the French capital has been marred by frequent injuries and unremarkable performances. The 2016 Euros winner only featured 27 times for PSG. In the last three campaigns, Sanches has been allowed to leave on loan, first at AS Roma, then at Benfica and last seson at Panathinaikos. Sanches currently trains away from Luis Enrique’s senior squad.

Foot Mercato understands that PSG would be ready to facilitate Sanches’ exit by terminating his contract entirely. The Portuguese midfielder would be keen to join an enticing sporting project for the next three years. Sanches reportedly turns down offers from Saudi Arabia, Brazil and MLS.

The outlet adds that European clubs, including in Spain and in France, have enquired about his situation. Promoted Premier League sides Ipswich Town and Hull City have also registered their interest in Sanches.
