Earlier Friday, Fandango released an FAQ regarding its streaming of Bundesliga games and let us tell you, it was not well-received.
Because many fans went into the day expecting to be able to watch the match on their televisions, it was a very tough scene for many who came to the reality that they would need to view the game on a phone or laptop (well, most phones and laptops, but not all).
While claiming they had answers, Fandango, in fact, did not have many good solutions and might have created more questions for an angry mob:

This is how it shook out on what had to be a very rough day for the Fandango social media team:
This is the most embarrassing shit I’ve ever seen.
It’s 2026 and half the devices either aren’t ready or don’t work for the season + you don’t allow airplay/chrome cast

You have ultimately failed. You've had more than a month to get your system converted for live streaming, but for most mobile devices you won't be ready for another month. So you've banished a whole set of fans to catch nothing.
— Daniel Ormsby (@bigddan11) August 28, 2026It is completely fair to wonder how this was the plan. Yes, the contract was agreed upon late, but being able to be viewed on major phones, tablets, and televisions is sort, of, well…a necessity.
