Jersey Bulls dropped their first points of the Isthmian League South Central season as they drew 1-1 at Moneyfields

Having lost on penalties in the FA Trophy on Saturday with an experimental line-up, a more familiar island side travelled to Portsmouth.

Bulls had a decent early chance through James Sunley, but it was the hosts that took the lead five minutes from half time.

Striker Harrison Brook controlled a long pass and got the ball back after some neat interplay before powerfully curling past goalkeeper Robbie Scott, who was making his league debut after Pierce Roche broke his collarbone on Saturday.

Bulls' Miguel Carvalho forced a good save from the Moneyfields goalkeeper at his near post three minutes into the second half.

But Sunley levelled the scored just before the hour-mark as he curled home from inside the box after the hosts had failed to clear a cross.

He went close again midway through the second half as the islanders upped the tempo as Casey Nixon and Toby Ritzema went close.

Bulls needed a superb Scott save in the fifth minute of stoppage time to secure the point as he palmed away Sam Ashton's header from a corner at full stretch.
