Jersey triathlete Siena Stephens will compete in the Island's $800,000 Supertri Pro Series Final for a second successive year.

The 19-year-old has been awarded a wildcard for 2026, giving her the chance to race in front of a home crowd alongside some of the sport's biggest names.

Last year, the 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games relay bronze medallist ran the 10k RBC Race for the Kids in the morning, before a late withdrawal saw her called up to the senior race with two hours' notice.

Michael D'hulst, CEO and co-founder of Supertri, said: "She is exactly the kind of young athlete we want Supertri to inspire, and I'm sure there will be plenty of aspiring Jersey triathletes watching her on the start line and thinking that one day it could be them."

Stephens collected five medals across swimming and triathlon at the 2023 Island Games, and finished second at the British Triathlon National Championships in 2024.

The 2026 women's field includes reigning Supertri champion Jeanne Lehair, Olympic champion Cassandre Beaugrand, Briton Georgia Taylor-Brown and former European champion Jolien Vermeylen.

The men's race will see 36-year-old Jonny Brownlee take on fellow Briton and 2024 Olympic champion Alex Yee.

The event takes place on Sunday 6 September.
