Jim Harbaugh reveals what impressed him most in Chargers' win

Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh couldn't be more thrilled with his team's performance on Thursday night against the Houston Texans.

Harbaugh spoke to the media after the win and was pleased with the team's performance in all three phases.

"Overall, offense, defense, special teams, I really thought our players took the coaching that they had," Harbaugh said.

"And to go out and execute that in the game and keep falling back on that technique in the coaching and the way they were trained, really, really good," he added.

Harbaugh and the Chargers dominated through and through, coming out on top 27-7 to collect their first win of the preseason. While the game may not mean much in the grand scheme of things, it provided a glimpse into the schemes and game plan Harbaugh and his coordinators plan to implement moving forward.

The 62-year-old head coach showed some love to coordinators Chris O'Leary and Mike McDaniel as well after stellar performances by their respective units.

"I thought he called a really good game. Loved the three and outs, loved the fourth downs stops," Harbaugh said of Chris O'Leary's defense. "Calm, cool, collected the whole night."

Harbaugh was impressed with the Chargers collecting nearly 400 yards of offense.

"Mike McDaniel, getting nearly 400 yards of offense in a preseason game is really hard to do," Harbaugh said. "Haven't seen that many times. Didn't quite get 400, but it was pretty close."

The Chargers tallied 379 total yards, while they held the Texans to 209 total yards.

Los Angeles will look to carry that momentum next week when they host the 49ers at SoFi Stadium.
