J.J. Spaun withdraws from Tour Championship in Round 1 with shoulder injury

J.J. Spaun has withdrawn from the Tour Championship during first-round action with a shoulder injury.

Spaun, who entered this weekend 22nd in the FedExCup standings, was four over through his first five holes. His withdrawal will result in a 30th-place finish in the season-ending FedExCup.

The 2025 U.S. Open winner won his first title since his major breakthrough at the Valero Texas Open this year. He finishes the 2026 season with one win, four top 10s, and 15 of 22 cuts made.

Min Woo Lee will complete the remainder of Round 1 at East Lake solo.
