Germany is home to some of the best stadiums in the world. The country is synonymous with football history, stadiums, and most of all, fans. While Eintracht Frankfurt, FC Köln, HSV, and Borussia Dortmund are all known for their passionate fans, it is no surprise that the fans of the Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich, know what a good football atmosphere is.
While the fans in the stadium have gotten a bit familiar with dominating the Bundesliga over the last decade or so, Champions League football is when the Allianz Arena shine its brightest. The Allianz Arena has its place with the most iconic Champions League nights such as Anfield or the Santiago Bernabeu, and despite how great this is for the fans, it makes a massive impact on the players as well.
“When I think back to the game against Real Madrid at Allianz Arena, that atmosphere is something we still talk about in the team today. The atmosphere in the stadium, within the team, it was simply something very special. We want to experience nights like that again. That’s what I’m looking forward to the most: trying to top those moments and create new big nights together with our fans,” said Jonathan Tah, as captured by @iMiaSanMia.
It is great to hear just how much the players enjoy playing in the big occasions and you can tell from Tah’s response the impact that it has on the club. While things didn’t end as Tah and the team might have wanted last year in the Champions League, they remain among the top favorites to lift the title this season.
