No. 18 Tennessee held its second scrimmage during fall training camp on Saturday at Neyland Stadium. Rankings reflect the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll.
Sixth-year head coach Josh Heupel recapped the Vols' second scrimmage.
“Good second scrimmage,” Heupel said. “Bunch of situational work. Crowd noise like you're on the road. A lot of mechanics, communication, things that did well and some things that, offensively in particularly, learned throughout the course of it. Got to continue to get better at that, but all in all, good work.
“I thought defensively did a good job. Created a couple turnovers. Played assignment sound and, offensively you know, didn't play as clean as we need to. Some of that was communication, but some really positive things there too.”
Tennessee will kick off its 2026 football season in 14 days. The Vols will host Furman on Sept. 5 at Neyland Stadium (3:30 p.m. EDT, SEC Network+).
