In the meantime, there’s been speculation that Atletico have opened the door to Alvarez leaving the club for Arsenal, but the Argentina international has made it clear he still only wants to sign for Barcelona.
The Catalans giants are believed to still be keen to sign Alvarez but are now considering moving on to other targets due to Atletico’s continued refusal to negotiate a transfer.
