Juventus is now thinking about PSG’s other goalkeeper

With a loan move for Zion Suzuki now looking increasingly distant, Juventus could be forced to turn their attention towards Lucas Chevalier, PSG’s other goalkeeper. The Bianconeri remain determined to strengthen their options in goal, but their preferred plans have become increasingly difficult to complete.

When Juventus held talks over signing Randal Kolo Muani from Paris, they were offered the opportunity to sign Chevalier. However, the Bianconeri turned down that option because they did not believe they needed him at the time.

Juventus Reconsider Goalkeeping Options

Juventus had initially focused on signing Alisson Becker or Emiliano Martinez, but neither goalkeeper is expected to leave his respective Premier League club this summer. The Bianconeri subsequently turned their attention towards Suzuki, hoping to bring him to Serie A.

However, Suzuki is heading to PSG, and even the possibility of signing him on loan is now uncertain. That situation has forced Juventus to reconsider their options as they attempt to find a goalkeeper before the new season begins.

The men at the Allianz Stadium want to ensure they have a better player in goal this season, having completely given up on Michele di Gregorio. Their search has therefore continued, with Chevalier now emerging as another potential solution.

Chevalier Emerges as Alternative

As reported by Tuttomercatoweb, Juventus are trying to sign Chevalier on loan if they are denied the opportunity to keep Suzuki in Serie A. The proposed move would provide the Bianconeri with another option while they attempt to resolve their goalkeeping situation.

PSG must decide which of their two goalkeepers will be their second choice this season, and that decision is causing Juventus concern. If Chevalier is selected for that role, the French club could be less willing to allow him to leave on loan.

For Juventus, the uncertainty surrounding PSG’s goalkeeping plans makes their pursuit of Suzuki even more complicated. The Bianconeri must now consider whether Chevalier could provide the solution they need if their preferred loan agreement for Suzuki cannot be completed.

With the new season approaching, Juventus cannot afford to leave the position unresolved. Their interest in Chevalier gives them another possible route, but much will depend on PSG’s decision regarding their goalkeepers and whether Suzuki remains available for a temporary move to Serie A.
