Kane shuts down Premier League return talk: Bayern star says the ‘itch’ is gone

Harry Kane has said he does not have the 'itch' to return to the Premier League from Bayern Munich.

Kane has scored 146 goals in 147 games since leaving Tottenham Hotspur for Germany in 2023, producing the best football of his career at Bayern.

The 33-year-old has entered the final season of the four-year contract he signed with theBundesliga side, and has been linked with a potential Premier League return.

Kane is the second-highest scorer inPremier League history on 213 goals, 47 behind Alan Shearer's all-time record.

It had been expected that Kane would opt to return to the division in an attempt to break that record, but the England captain has said that is not necessarily the case.

After winning a second European Golden Shoe last season, Kane said he is extremely happy in Munich and said he has no plans to return to English football.

Harry Kane: “Extremely happy” at Bayern and no rush back to England, despite Premier League scoring record chase

"When I first left [the Premier League], for sure it was something I thought - I would definitely be coming back. That itch isn't there as much anymore,"he said.

"I'm extremely happy happy here in Munich, it opened my eyes to a totally different world of football outside of England and it has made me appreciated European football even more.

"I just think the team we have here and the manager, my family is really settled, it's just about being in the best place possible. Never say never, but for now I'm concentrating on Bayern Munich and we will see what the future holds.

"I think this is the best version of myself, for sure. I think last season speaks for itself, from that sense the best season of my career no doubt. Since the boss has come in, he's elevated my game to another level."
